Today we’re revisiting the archives for the OAK BAGS.
Unlike many of our designs that begin with a feeling or a memory, the OAK BAGS began with a form.
Our Creative Director was always fascinated by sculptural art pieces and wondered: What would happen if a sculpture became something you could accessorize with, Would it set you apart in the room?
The answer began with the wooden handle.
From there, sketches emerged around a cylindrical silhouette, balancing structure and softness then art and function. What started as an exploration of form evolved into an artifact designed to outlive seasons and be passed from one generation to the next.

THE DESIGN ARCHIVE - SWING BAG
Today, we’re taking you back to where the SWING BAG began. The idea started with a simple question: What does joy look like?
For our Creative Director, the answer lived in her childhood memories of playground swings, where happiness came naturally and every movement felt effortless. She wanted to capture that feeling and transform it into something playful you could carry. What started as a memory evolved into a sketch and became an artifact inspired by the silhouette and motion of a swing. Then the details? Nothing selected from catalogs, every element was developed intentionally, carrying the unmistakable DAEZ DNA.
